This Week’s Scenario

Your teen asks if they can go out with friends for the afternoon. You say yes. Your spouse says no. Before either of you finishes making your case to each other, your teen has already headed for the door, propelled by your yes. Your spouse is frustrated, maybe says so out loud, in front of your teen. And your teen, who just watched the two of you split in real time, has already made a decision of their own about whose word actually holds in this house.
